The Role of the Board of Trustees

Kia ora koutou!
On behalf of the Board, I would like to welcome you and your children to Waterlea School!
Māngere Bridge is an incredible community and Waterlea is an incredible school! We feel
privileged to be able to serve as the school’s governing body, elected every three years by
the parents and caregivers. We are responsible for setting the school’s goals, objectives and
policies, carried out in consultation with our community.

The staff, led by our Principal, Andrea Jamieson, are responsible for the day-to-day running
of the school. Andrea is also a member of the Board. As a Board, we are extremely grateful
to have such a talented and dedicated staff team, who work tirelessly to care for and support
our kids.

Community engagement is very important to us. We would love to get your input, feedback
and suggestions on the governance of our school. Please do get in touch, either in person if
