Sir Keith Park Unit

At Waterlea School, we host a Satellite Class from Sir Keith Park School.

These students are young people who have  intellectual impairment, communication and hearing disorders; visual impairments, physical impairments; and / or  multiple, complex  disabilities.   Most students are verified under the Ongoing Resourcing scheme (ORS).  

​The Ongoing Resourcing Scheme, allows for the employment of Specialists to work with teaching staff to provide advice, adapted programmes, therapies and resources aimed at meeting the unique learning needs of students. 

The students we have with us at Waterlea wear our uniform and engage with us where appropriate, e.g. school assemblies, visiting the library, having buddies helping in the unit. This unit runs their own specialised programme to meet the needs of their tamariki.
